Your Mental Healthcare Needs
Making the decision to reach out to a therapist and to attend is not easy, but you are and it means you are seeking someone to speak with about your concerns. Psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy and at times this may be why you are coming into therapy. Therapy takes commitment and it can be hard work and there will be times when you are not happy being in session or at the end of the session. This means you are working hard. I will try to make therapy as positive an experience as possible. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and together, we will tackle the tough stuff and create a custom approach based on your individual needs and goals.
I follow a Humanistic and Holistic approach. The Humanistic approach considers the client as an individual. It takes into account the positive characteristics of the person, their strengths, behaviours, and their ability to grow and heal.
The Holistic approach considers the client as an individual whole being and the interconnections that can affect their thoughts, emotions and behaviours. There is the belief the mind and body are connected and affect each other.
